The state-of-the-art Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University, which opened for the 2000-01 academic year, includes a 10,250-seat arena, home to the men's and women's basketball teams as well as the volleyball team. In addition to serving as the home for Xavier athletic events, the facility is the setting for commencement as well as outside exhibits, concerts, trade shows, weddings and family entertainment events. The Cintas Center doors are less than 200 yards from Xavier's residence halls.

Cintas Center provides Xavier University with one of the finest on-campus arenas in the entire nation. In addition to serving as the home court for basketball and volleyball, the facility features a full-size practice gymnasium, an athletic training room and a strength conditioning room for the benefit of all Xavier student-athletes.

Additional features of the facility include four full-size locker rooms (men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball and a visiting team locker room), two officials' locker rooms and a media room.

The Xavier athletic teams have taken full advantage of Cintas Center as evidenced by each team's record as well as the attendance figures over the last 11 years. The men's basketball, women's basketball and volleyball teams have been among the best in the Atlantic 10 Conference as each team has won more than 83 percent of its games played in XU's on-campus home. Xavier's men's basketball team has drawn an average of 10,032 fans per game while posting a 148-18 (.892) record at Cintas Center. The women's basketball team led the league in attendance during the 2004-05 (1,466), 2005-06 (1,500), 2007-08 (1,865), and 2010-11 (2,502) seasons and owns a mark of 147-31 (.826) in the history of the building. XU's volleyball team has been dominant as well as the squad has amassed a record of 92-26 (.780) since the 2000 season while averaging over 450 spectators per match.

Spectators also benefit from the many amenities of the facility which include a top of the line media production suite that allows for in-house video of all home events. Other important features of Cintas Center are the 22 luxury box suites, great sight lines from all seats in the arena, a team store and the Joseph Club and Duff's Lounge, which allow for fan gatherings prior to and after many home games.

During the summer of 2010, a new center-hung scoreboard, auxiliary scoreboard, and fascia ribbon board were added upgrading the entire Cintas Center experience. The center-hung scoreboard features 10mm pitch, which doubled the resolution of the previous board. The fascia ribbon, which shows stats, out-of-town scores, score, and advertisements during the game, is the longest continuous ribbon board in the Tri-State area.
